Serving your SeaBear Wild Alaskan Poached Sockeye Salmon

We suggest serving your poached wild Sockeye salmon at room temperature (for maximum moistness). When serving a poached salmon packaged in SeaBear’s Gold Seal pouch, save the natural juices and pour back over the fillet.

Try some of these favorite accompaniments: Water crackers; thinly sliced red onion; cream cheese; capers, thinly sliced apples, pears or star fruit; a sharp cheddar cheese; sweet mustard; fruit salsa; toast points; or, slices of your favorite artisan bread.

Put on the finishing touch with one of these simple ideas: Top fillet with thin shavings of lemon and lime peel; circle fillet with hollowed out, cream cheese-filled cherry tomatoes; sprinkle fillet with finely chopped fresh dill; set poached salmon on a bed of fresh spinach or arugala leaves; use piping bag to place small dollops of crème’ freche down middle of fillet.
Our poached salmon has a shelf life of approximately 5 years.

If you open the box and look at the gold pouch, you'll notice a series of letters & numbers (either on a white sticker, or stamped directly on the pouch, usually in red ink).

Example: 6420011SK

64 is our smokehouse FDA issued plant number
2 is the last digit of the year it was produced. 2 would be 2002, 5 would be 2005.
001 - the Julian Date (Jan 1st, 273 would be Sept 30th)
1 - the first cook of the day
