No refrigeration is required, and all you do is reheat by placing the pouch directly in the microwave, or by dropping it into boiling water.

Place unopened pouch in boiling water for 2-3 minutes; or tear open pouch 2 inches at notch and microwave on high for 60 seconds. Enjoy straight out of the pouch, or serve over pasta, rice or risotto.
Our Heat & Serve Wild Salmon Meals have a shelf life of approximately four years, which make them perfect for camping trips, to pack in your RV, or for emergency kits. Think of the pouch like a “flexible can” – as long as the pouch is not punctured, leaking or opened, the product inside will stay good approximately 4 years.

To determine when your salmon was packaged, look on the back near the bottom of the pouch. You'll find a code that looks like this:

9 is the last digit of the year it was processed. 9 would be 2009.
158 - the Julian Date (June 7th, 273 would be Sept 30th)
