Instructions for Use: Soak first - submerge papers in water, in a shallow dish for 10 minutes (use a small bottle or bowl as a weight). Cooking on in the Grill - Grill at 400°F or medium high heat. Place fish, vegetables, fruit, meat and/or cheese face down in the center of the soaked papers parallel to the grain of the wood. Fold papers edges towards each other until they overlap. Tie with cotton string (green onion stems, soaked in water, can also be used) or simply place seam side down on grill grate. Close grill lid, and cook for 5-6 minutes, no turning needed. Cooking in the Oven - Preheat oven to 400°F. Place fish, vegetables, fruit, meat and/or cheese face down in the center of the soaked papers parallel to the grain of the wood. Fold papers edges towards each other until they overlap. Tie with cotton string (green onion stems, soaked in water, can also be used) or simply place seam side down on the baking pan. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minutes depending on the thickness of the food. Enjoy - serve cedar wrapped foods straight to the dinner table, sit back and enjoy the compliments! Cooking tip: Soak papers in wine, sake, or bourbon for extra flavor, making sure to keep open bottle of alcohol away from your heat source. |
